Rich Jones has extensive direct experience in all facets of commercial real estate investment management including acquisitions and dispositions, capital markets, development and asset management of the four major asset classes with specific emphasis on multi-family properties. His demonstrated success and expertise spanning more than 30 years in the industry has resulted in closing transactions in the Western US on properties valued at more than $2.0 billion (>18 million square feet) including over $500 million (4,600 units) of apartments as an entity and in his senior roles with prior firms.
Prior to forming WaveCrest in 2009, Rich was Vice President/Senior Relationship Manager at KeyBank Real Estate Capital where he was responsible for originating on/off balance sheet construction and bridge loans. Before KeyBank, he formed and operated Tioga Development Company, a firm specializing in acquisition and re-positioning of value-added real estate opportunities in the Bay Area. Prior to Tioga, he was with Ohio STRS (San Francisco Office) as Senior Acquisition Officer responsible for acquisitions in San Francisco and Seattle, and at The Northwestern Mutual Life Insurance Co. as Director – Field Production, where he was responsible for originating term loans, joint venture acquisitions and Asset and Portfolio Management duties in the Western US.
Rich graduated with honors from the University of California, Davis in 1982 with a BA in Political Science.
